Massive Attack confermati al Bestival 2009 !

I Massive Attack, i Klaxons e i MGMT sono stati selezionati assieme a Kraftwerk, Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve e Bat For Lashes (spalla dei Radiohead) come headliners del Bestival 2009 che si terrà sull’Isola di Wight dall’11 al 13 settembre.
Non si sa ancora nulla invece dello speciale headliner protagonista a Robin Hill domenica sera 13 settembre..
L’evento è curato da Rob da Bank, dj della BBC radio ed i biglietti sono acquistabili direttamente dal sito ufficiale del festival: http://www.bestival.net.
La band di Bristol, dicono gli organizzatori, è stata scelta perchè responsabile dell’invenzione del trip-hop, la cartina tornasole della rivoluzione musicale britannica invece sono i Klaxons, ecco cosa pensano di loro gli organizzatori:“When Klaxons released their debut single Gravity’s Rainbow in March 2006 it signalled the beginning of a revolution in the British music scene.”. — : quando i Klaxons hanno pubblicato il loro singolo di debutto “Gravity’s Rainbow” nel marzo 2006 hanno segnato l’inizio di una rivoluzione della scena musicale britannica.
I MGMT invece, sono stati scelti in quanto una delle migliori scoperte del 2008, il che è confermato dai numerosi premi che la band sta ricevendo in questo momento.
La line up di questo festival non è ancora completamente definita ma già da ora si intuisce che sarà una 3 giorni ricca di personalità importantissime della scena musicale contemporanea:
